New Years Trip 2007

I had an entire week off work in between Christmas and New Year's, so Brent and I decided to go visit his dad and travel around. We drove up to Shelbyville, Tennessee (suburb of Nashville) and spent a few days visiting Brent's dad.

We drove over to Lynchburg, TN to the Jack Daniels Distillery.

We toured the distillery and even bought a bottle Jack Daniels.

We drove through Chattanooga, Tennessee on our way to Georgia, so we decided to stop and see Rock City.

Lucky for us, they allowed dogs.

You can "see" seven states from the top of lookout mountain.

We drove down to McCaysville/Blue Ridge, Georgia and spent a few days in the cabin. While there, we decided to take Sammy hiking up Amicola Falls.

Christmas 2007

Our Christmas card picture. We took this at home in front of our tree. I like it, but it was difficult getting the babies to cooperate.

Brent cannot keep a secret! He also knows how impatient I am. He was suspicious that I might try to open my gift early and then rewrap it. He wrapped my "gift" and stuck it under the tree. Knowing me, I opened it 5 days before Christmas. He wrapped an old package of golf balls to trick me. It worked, and we got a good laugh out of it.

My real gift, which I insisted on opening early, was a new camera. Its very small and very cute. Its orange for Auburn. I haven't used it a whole lot, but I love it. I got Brent a TomTom navigational system.

We always go to Atlanta to my Nanny's house for Christmas. This year we went a day early and spent the day strolling around downtown Atlanta. It was freezing cold, but fun. This is in front of a monument in Centennial Park.
